Elections for city council and mayor positions are November 3rd, and residents planning on voting absentee need to complete the absentee ballot request form, if they haven’t already. That’s according to Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia. He says residents can get the form at the County Web site, the Secretary of State’s Web site, or at the Auditor’s Office on the second floor of the courthouse, and then must be turned into the Auditor’s Office.

Be sure to tune into a KNIA/KRLS special edition news magazine and forum for Knoxville’s city council and mayoral candidates at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night on the second floor of the Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. It will also be broadcast live on 92.1 fm, KRLS, and streamed online at www.kniakrls.com.
