Gladys Black, who was adored by many in the Midwest and known as “Iowa’s Bird Lady,” will have her legacy recounted by Larry Stone, who knew and worked with Black. Her newspaper columns featured folksy anecdotes, and she always had the same focus: protect our birds and their environment. The program featuring Stone will be held on Earth Day, April 22nd, at 7pm inside the Pella Public Library. The presentation is free and open to the public.
