Embezzler Gets Deferred Judgment, Probation

A Pella resident who pled guilty in July to embezzling over $29,000 from Leighton State Bank in Pella received a two-year deferred judgment at the Marion County Courthouse Friday.

USDA to recognize ISSB

Iowa State Savings Bank in Knoxville is being recognized by the USDA Tuesday as a new lender using the agency’s guaranteed housing loan program. Sources tell KNIA/KRLS News that a representative from the USDA will be at the bank at 10 a.m. Tuesday for the event. June is National Homeownership Month.
