After lacing their own running shoes for the Des Moines Marathon, Pella cross country coaches, Doug Cutler and Robin Hammann, as well as several other area cross country coaches, were able to reach their goal of $2,600 to set-up a scholarship in memory of late athletic director, Bill Van Horn.

Pella High Cross Country Coaches Doug Cutler and Robin Hammann have done a phenomenal job with the sport for the school. They’ve taught their athletes about character, not giving up, playing as a team, and a lot of the values that take place in our everyday lives.

The Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella will probably be a little greener than usual today, as supporters of Pella High School athletics will fill the course and clubhouse for the first annual Bill Van Horn Memorial Golf Outing.
