A couple of local scouts are making improvements on the Competine Trail in Knoxville. Brothers Joseph and Jensen Finnegan are working on their Eagle Scout project and are working with the Knoxville Rotary Club and the Knoxville Recreation Center to place trash receptacles and benches on the trail.

Brandon Nemmers, Director of Parks and Recreation, tells KNIA-KRLS News the boys ordered the supplies and have completed the project.

“It  was a good group effort and something for the community to be proud of. It gives people walking the trail a nice place to rest while walking the Competine Trail.”
