A Cedar Rapids man has been charged with burglary in Pella.

The Pella Police Department reports during the early morning hours of November 2, officers responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Washington Street. The caller related that a suspicious man was seen prowling in the area. Officers responded and performed checks of area businesses. While officers were examining the exterior of a business, a man ran from behind the building. After a brief pursuit officers apprehended the man and identified him as 54-year-old Billy Hanover of Cedar Rapids. Hanover has been charged with burglary 3rd degree, a class D felony, possession of burglary tools, an aggravated misdemeanor, interference with official acts, a serious misdemeanor, and theft 5th degree, a serious misdemeanor.
