The Pella Police Department was involved in a vehicle pursuit that originated in Jasper County just after midnight Sunday. The Department was notified of a vehicle entering Pella from the north on Highway T-14. Officers located the vehicle and followed until the suspect hit an electrical pole guide wire at the intersection of Franklin and Hazel streets, coming to rest in the Pella Christian Grade School parking lot. The suspect fled on foot and could not be located. The investigation continues with cooperation from other law enforcement agencies.
