Another spirited fourth quarter comeback gave the Pella boys basketball team a shot at returning to the State Tournament, but a few bad bounces in the final seconds saw the game slip away from the Little Dutch as Mount Pleasant held on for a 43-42 win in Monday night’s Class 3-A Substate round in Ottumwa.

An inspired final quarter of play was enough to push the Pella High boys basketball team past Williamsburg, as the Little Dutch defeated the Raiders 68-56 Thursday night in a game heard on 92.1 fm KRLS.

Behind a 16-0 run in the game’s opening minutes, the Pella boys basketball team quickly put Oskaloosa in their rearview mirror, as the Little Dutch raced past the Indians for a 79-40 win in Monday night’s District 6 Tournament opener in Class 3-A.
