A new budget approved by the Iowa Supreme Court means more access to court services is coming. Clerk of Court offices will be open full-time in Marion County beginning September 3rd. Currently, the offices close from 2:30-to-4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays to allow staff to catch up on other work. In addition to restoring full public hours, the 3.5 percent budget increase is meant to provide additional resources for troubled youth and their families and more support for judges and magistrates.
