Eight runs in the first two innings from Colfax-Mingo was enough to bury the Pella Christian softball team last night, 8 – 4. The Eagles had nine hits on the day, but stranded several runners in scoring position. The first four batters in each of the first two innings came around to score for the Tigerhawks. Chloe Dembski was 2-for-5 at the plate, as Pella Christian falls to 8 – 2 this year. Their road swing continues tonight when the Eagles play at Norwalk for another Little Hawkeye Conference ranked battle.
