It is a busy night of sports Melcher-Dallas. The Cross Country Squads will head to Wayne for their second meet of the season. Girls runner J’Lyn Knutson had a successful 2020 debut with a third place finish at Albia on Tuesday while the boys were able to run some of their best times. The volleyball squad will hit the road to Moulton-Udell. The Saints are 2-0 after clearing the first two hurdles in the conference. Coach Jesyka Nolte tells KNIA Sports the addition of Kenzie Smith to the rotation has given her front line players a boost and it takes pressure off of the serving side of the game.

Nolte:
“I told her to embrace that middle and she’s a really good player and she moves quick and she can help us in the blocking area so she’s going to be a real asset to us, and I hope she loves the middle as much as she does that left side.”

First serve is scheduled for 5:30pm at volleyball and cross country gets the starter’s pistol at 5:00pm.
