It took just three punts in a 23-21 win over Luther College for Central College punter Tyler Bryant to be chosen for a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week.

In the 19-year history of the award, Central is up to 40 recipients, the most of any school in the Iowa Conference. Bryant is the third Central punter to be recognized after four-time honoree Kurtis Brondyke ’11 and two-time recipient Brant VerMeer ’07.

Bryant landed on the D3football.com team of the week after he averaged 53.7 yards per punt in the win over the Norse. He launched two of his three punts over 50 yards, including a game-high 65-yard attempt. Two of his attempts also pinned the Norse inside their own 20-yard line.

The end of the season for the Dutch is this Saturday as they host the University of Dubuque at 1 p.m. from Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.
