Dalton Kingery can count himself in among the best high school cowboys in the nation. The recent PCM graduate closed out his time at the 2012 National High School Finals Rodeo on Sunday by finishing in the top 20 in Bareback Riding. Kingery’s score of 62 landed him in 17th place after the second round of competition – 12 points off of the top single-run score of the week.

His run at the National High School Finals Rodeo – which was held in Rock Springs, Wyoming – completes his high school rodeo career, but Kingery is far from finished. In a recent interview with KNIA/KRLS Sports, Dalton said he’ll continue to spend his summer competing in rodeo circuits throughout the midwest and will soon be headed off to college in Kansas – where he’ll take the next steps in his rodeo career.
