Despite playing like an entirely separate team in the second half, the Pella Knights were unable to overcome a sluggish first half in a 31-14 loss to the Des Moines Blaze in their second Midwest Football Alliance meeting this season.  

An early deficit and several big plays by the defending Midwest Football Alliance champions were too much for the Pella Knights to contend with, as they fell 45-10 to the Des Moines Blaze on Saturday.
