Students at Central College will take their spring semester final exams this week, which means graduation is just a week away.

Central College is one of 19 institutions of higher education in Iowa that will promote an environmental sustainability event at the state capital in Des Moines next month.

Sustainability and environmentalism is a big part of the mission of Central College, and incoming president Dr. Mark Putnam looks to continue that direction when he assumes leadership of the college.

Earlier this month, Central College announced Dr. Mark Putnam as the college’s 21st president, and the successor to current president David Roe, who will retire in June.
