Funeral services for Edgar Van Arkel, age 87 of Pella, will be held Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Pella. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery at Pella. Visitation will begin Wednesday afternoon at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home with the family present Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for the First Baptist Church or Hospice of Pella.
