Car Washed into English Creek

At approximately 4:00 PM Sunday a motorist driving down Newbold southeast of Knoxville ignored road closed signs to cross English Creek floodwaters.

Highway 5 South and Gravel Roads Now Open at English Creek

The Iowa Department of Transportation closed HWY 5 south of Knoxville at English Creek at approximately 3:15PM Saturday because of water over the roadway, and reopened it during the overnight hours.
