heatindex

Temperatures will continue to increase into the weekend, as an extended hot and dry spell is expected to last through the end of July.

According to the National Weather Service, daytime highs are climbing into the low-to-mid 90s over the next several days. Heat index values in the afternoon and evenings will approach and likely top 100.

Sunstroke, heat cramps, or heat exhaustion are all possible with prolonged exposure and/or physical activity in those conditions. Those with plans to be outdoors should take frequent breaks in air conditioning and stay hydrated.
