According to Marion County Farm Bureau Chairman Larry Rowley, despite the rainout Friday evening, Ag in the City went better than expected. Rowley says the weather Saturday was beautiful and a decent crowd showed up to enjoy the festivities. He says the vendors were very happy with food sales and sold more meals than expected. Rowley says one of the highlights of the weekend was the goat milking contest and attendees seemed to thoroughly enjoy the musical entertainment Saturday morning. He reminds residents that were looking forward to enjoying the gospel music group perform Friday evening that they will have another chance to see them Friday night at the Marion County Fair. Overall, Rowley says he was very happy with the turnout and is looking forward to Pella’s Ag in the City in August.
