In an offensive shootout Mount Ayr handed Pella Christian their first district loss last night 37-33 ending a 5 game win streak for the Eagles. Neither defense could stop the other’s offense as the two teams combined for just over 1000 yards in total offense on a rainy, cold night in Mount Ayr.

Down two starters for the entire game and losing another key player early in the second half, Pella was unable to maintain a 3-0 halftime lead as they fell to Grinnell 14-3 last night suffering their second straight loss and their third in the last four games on a rainy, windy night in Pella.
