A Knoxville woman has been charged with felony forgery after being arrested for writing forged checks.
According to court records, the Melcher-Dallas Police Department arrested Nichole Sedlock after she purchased items at a grocery store using forged checks from a deceased man with a frozen bank account. Video surveillance footage shows Sedlock writing three forged checks in July totaling over $220. Sedlock is charged with three counts of forgery, each a class D felony, and three counts of theft in the 5th degree.
