2 State Championships and 26 Total Medals Earned by Local Athletes at State Track and Field Meet

Saturday ended a very successful State Track and Field Meet for Marion County athletes as three new medals were earned bringing the total over the three days to 26 medals earned including two individual state championships from 71 total events that qualified.

Medal Count Rising For Area Athletes at State Track and Field Meet

Marion County Athletes Earn 13 Medals Including One State Championship On Day 1 of State Track Meet

Pella Girls and Boys Ready to Hit the “Blue Oval”at Drake Today With Top 5 Team Finishes in Mind

Pella Middle School Foursome Competes in Jr. High Girls State Track Meet

Last Saturday four Pella 7th grade girls participated in the 2010 Iowa Association of Track Coaches, Mike Henderson Junior High Girls State Track and Field meet in Ankeny and brought home three first place finishes.

Pella Girls Claim LHC Track Title, Knoxville 6th, Pella Christian 7th

Pella also won the LHC Girls Track and Field championship in Newton last night scoring 153 points compared to second place Grinnell’s 126, Knoxville was sixth with 39 points and Pella Christian finished in seventh with 31 points.

Pella Girls/Boys Sweep Titles at Little Dutch Relays…Knoxville Boys Second..Girls Sixth..PC Boys Third..Girls Fifth

 The Pella boys and girls swept the team titles at the Little Dutch Relays at Pella High School last night.  On the boys side Knoxville finished second 43 points behind Pella and Pella Christian was third, on the girls side Pella also was 43 points better than second place Grinnell, Pella Christian finished fifth and Knoxville was sixth.

Pella Girls Win at Bondurant Farrar, Knoxville Fifth

The Pella girls track team played with their lineup a bit last night but still managed a win at Bondurant Farrar scoring 135 points, just enough to edge second place West Branch by five points, Knoxville finished fifth with 55 points.

Pella Girls/Boys Sweep Osky Relays Titles, PC Boys Second, Girls Third, Twin Cedars Girls Fourth

The Pella girls and boys track teams each had a huge day and swept the team titles at the Osky Relays in Oskaloosa Saturday, Pella Christian boys finished a distant second, Pella Christian girls finished third and Twin Cedars girls were fourth competing in the smaller school class.
