Busy Sports Day for Pella High Headlined by Start of State Track

In a blur, we have gone from 40 and 50 degree temperatures to consistently more comfortable conditions. And in that same period, the high school track and field season has sped from meet number one to today’s start of the state meet in Des Moines at Drake Stadium.

Pella Christian Girls Fall to Ranked Foe

The Pella Christian girls fell to Class 1A 8th ranked Lynnville Sully last night 38-35.

Pella Girls Win 3rd Straight

The Pella girls picked up their third straight win last night beating Mount Pleasant 72-36. After a close first quarter, Pella used a 23-5 run in the second quarter to blow the game open and never looked back. Mackenzie Anthony led Pella with 15 points, Jordyn Vandelune, Hali Steenhoek and Kelsry Fynaardt each scored 10. Pella improved to 3-1 on the season. They are off until Friday when they play South Tama.
