Marion County is set to play a big role in a national mine reclamation convention in September. Visitors from 31 states and tribes will visit the Goff Mine on September 25th to learn about conservation techniques used in Iowa. The group will also visit Pella as part of their tour throughout south-central Iowa that day. Among the guests will be the National Director of the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement Joseph Pizarchik.
