The holiday season can be a difficult time for low-income families, and many are still in need of help to get through the winter.

Patty Sneddon Kisting with IMPACT Warren County tells KNIA News oftentimes families are struggling with an unexpected repair or medical bill, or another situation out of their control, but volunteering can help make their end of the year just a little easier.

“It only takes one person to change someone’s environment if they are going through a crisis situation. Helping them get back on track, or meet them where they need help, or just make a significant impact on their day can be life changing and rewarding.”

Sneddon Kisting also urges that if you need help, to schedule an appointment with IMPACT on the square in downtown Indianola.
