Area Runners Get One Final Race In During The Senior All-Star Meet

Some local athletes were a part of one final cross country event of their high school careers Saturday at the DMACC Cross Country Course in Ankeny in the Senior All-Star Meet. For the girls it was Pella’s Makayla Kruse finishing in tenth place with a time of 19:18 while Knoxville’s Mickayla McGill finished 52nd in a time of 22:13. Also, Pleasantville’s Joran Dursky ran as she finished 50th in a time of 22:07. All three were running on the East Squad that was edged out by the West 27-29. On the boys side Pella’s Drew Van Hauen placed 28th in a time of 17:10, Van Hauen ran on the East Squad, who lost to the West 15-44.
