Melcher-Dallas Aiming High This Football Season

Big things expected for the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad this season. After rebuilding the program from a 1-9 season in 2015, to last season at 4-5, and with everybody back, the Saints are shooting for the playoffs this season. Coach Mike Hortsman in his fourth season as the Saints head coach, tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, many of the players already know the system and plays, and that makes it easier to get through the preseason workouts. Paul Karpan will return as he threw for over 1,000 yards last season, Karpan also led the team in rushing with 840 yards, Ethan Harringon, and Dalton Lovell will be in the backfield, receivers will be Harrington, Blaise Cooper and Sam Houston. Melcher-Dallas will kick off the season Friday on the road against English Valleys.
