U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations executed search warrants in Pella, Oskaloosa, and Newton on Thursday as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. During the execution of these warrants 18 people were arrested for administrative immigration violations in these three towns. In Pella, arrests were made at Tulip Garden Restaurant.

Four Central College wrestlers were released with minor injuries after being taken to the hospital following an accident last Saturday evening.
With yesterday’s warm weather and warm temperatures predicted again for today, the DNR is urging caution when venturing upon the ice at Lake Red Rock or in local ponds and rivers.
