Integrative Counseling Solutions in Knoxville and Indianola is helping clients cope with the challenges of social distancing and undetermined economic forecasts. Counselor Cheryl Garland tells KNIA News during these uncertain times, taking care of yourself is a priority by:

-Giving compassion and connections to others
-Finding things to be grateful for
-Taking a break from watching/reading/listening to news stories on the pandemic
-Taking care of your body with deep breaths, meditation, eating healthy, drinking water, exercise, plenty of sleep, and getting outside
-Take time to unwind and to enjoyable activities

Garland also said our connection to others is important, so don’t be afraid to connect with friends or family often, and if you need someone else to talk to to call a counselor.
