The last few seasons, the Pella Christian volleyball team seems to stumble out of the gate, but only in terms of their win-loss record. The Eagles play a plethora of big schools in some tournaments early in the campaign, and this year is no different. In both the 2013-14 and ’14-’15 seasons, after PC is done with the Iowa City tournament, their records have been 2 – 11 and 5 – 8, respectively. However, this is also the time when the Eagles kick it into high gear and play teams who are similar in size. For the 2015 season, Coach Cindy Nikkel would like to see her girls take a more confident approach to the teams they’ll face when they head out east. Pella Christian is slated to battle in the Iowa City tournament on September 12.
