Sooner or later, you have to call it quits. After 43 years as a staff member at Central College, associate athletics director, John Edwards, announced his retirement, which will be effective at the end of this school year. Edwards graduated from Central in 1972, earning a total of eight varsity letters for football and baseball. He also headed up the Dutch baseball program for 25 years as head coach and was an assistant football coach for 24 seasons. Edwards will not be straying far from campus; he’ll be staying on to be responsible for scheduling in the athletics complex while also overseeing equipment room operations and coordinating event management.
