The Klompen Classic was Wednesday night. The race had 2309 participants this year. The overall first place winner was Zach Buchheit, a 17 year old from Pella, at a time of 16:17. Second place was Tanner Wanders of New Sharon at 16:48.

The Klompen Classic is tonight. The race kicks off at 6pm with the kids classic. The 5k race or walk starts at 7pm. Julie Johnson at Crossroads of Pella says this race is their biggest fundraiser, and allows them to provide funding for nonprofits in the area.

Last Day for Guaranteed Klompen Classic Shirts

Today is the last day for guaranteed t-shirt orders for the Klompen Classic. Julie Johnson with Crossroads says they have ordered 2,300 shirts and 900 shirts have been ordered so far.
