Knoxville, Pella Christian Bowling Compete at Newton Invitational

Posted: Monday, December 4th, 2017 at 5:57 am

The Knoxville and Pella Christian bowling teams competed at the Newton Invitational Saturday.

Eagles Head Coach Rod Blunck tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it was a slow start for the maroon and gold bowlers to start the season.

“It might just have been first tournament jitters and it might have been the crowd,” he says. “There was a lot of people cheering on the bowlers. While we didn’t do as well as I had hoped, I was pleased with the kids competitiveness and I know they’ll take this experience and improve on it.”

Pella Christian was led by Alex Veenstra with a two individual total of 292 and the girls were led by Erica Van Soelen at 266.
