Knoxville Streetscape Committee’s Carolyn Formanek says citizens should be pleased with how the planters in the downtown area will look this year.

Formanek says volunteers are hard at work getting the pink petunias planted in the 24 hanging baskets around the Knoxville Square and that there will also be crabapple trees placed in some of the planters. She says while it’s a lot of work to water them daily, it can be a social event and it’s led to a group of volunteers helping out with the project.
Additional volunteers are always welcome.
