Many fire departments in the county were dispatched to grassfires throughout the day on Saturday. Among those responding to numerous fires that got out of control were the Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Clay Township, Bussey, Harvey, and Melcher Dallas.

Knoxville Rural Fire Department Fights Grass Fire

The Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department was called to a grass fire in the 1700 block of old Highway 92 east of Knoxville at approximately 5pm yesterday.
