PCM Survives Knoxville 3 At The Buzzer For Win

In a game that the shots were hard to come by, P-C-M had to sweat out a three point try at the buzzer by Knoxville and hang on for a 48-46 win over the Panthers Saturday night in boys basketball. The Mustangs got the go ahead and what would be the game winner on a layup by Logan Gilman with 15 seconds remaining and watched as Cade McNeill’s three bounced off the rim as time expired. P-C-M Coach Fred Lorensen told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team made several attempts to take the lead in a game that was hard fought to the end. Panthers Coach Jeff Larson said McNeill got a good look and just missed. Gilman led all scorers with 23 points while Chase Larson led Knoxville with 17 points. Knoxville heads into the break at 4-2 while P-C-M is 6-2.

Knoxville Hosts Davis County Tonight

The Knoxville Basketball Squads are back home for tonight’s South Central Conference games against Davis County. The girls beat Chariton on Friday 47-32 playing their best four quarters of basketball this season. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they will have to do the same against a Mustangs squad that has a good guard play and a strong presence in the middle. The boys will try to get back on track after suffering their first loss of the season on Friday to Chariton. The Panthers struggled to make shots which was one reason for the loss. Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the guys need to play hard against a Davis County team that while not winning any games this season, will come in wanting to prove something. Lesson For Knoxville Boys Friday Night…Play Hard For A Chance At Winning

Following their first loss of the season to Chariton on Friday night, the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad now has some adversity to fight through. Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he wants the guys to learn from this loss. He says if they play as hard and give the effort they gave against Chariton, they will likely have a chance to win most of their games. That challenge will be put to the test tomorrow night when Davis County comes to Knoxville. You can hear the double header on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA starting at six.
