Kyle Korver is coming back to Pella.

The former Pella High School and Creighton star, who set the NBA’s all time single season three point percentage record at 54% this past season while playing for the Utah Jaszz, will be at Sports Page Sporting Goods in the Wal Mart plaza on the west edge of Pella on Tuesday June 8th from 7-8pm in an effort to help Kobe Diers, a Pella youth raise money to buy basketball hoops for an orphanage in Sierra Leonne. Diers mother was on a mission trip to the orphanage, and when she returned , Kobe decided to raise money to buy basketball hoops for the kids at the orphanage. All on his own, Kobe solicited small donations for every three pointer he made in April with a goal of raising $1000. He surpassed that goal, collecting $1800, enough to buy two hoops. When Kyle Korver got word of the youngster’s efforts, he decided to step in and use his resources through the Kyle Korver Foundation to help buy more hoops.

Kyle’s younger brother Klayton will be at the store all day June 8th selling the Foundation’s SEER clothing line t-shirts, and Kyle Korver will be in the store from 7-8pm, with every dollar from the shirt sales going to help further Kobe’s efforts in raising money for the orphanage. Each person who buys a shirt will also be entered into raffle drawings for Kyle Korver signed merchandise.
