It was a record-breaking season debut for the PCM boys golf team, as the Mustang’s broke the previous team score record by four strokes, finishing with a 140 to win a triangular with Lynnville-Sully and Eddyville-Blakesburg in Lynnville.

The Iowa High School Girls State Basketball Tournament opens this morning in Des Moines, and one of our local teams will be in attendance – not to play, but to try and learn what it takes to be one of the final eight teams standing in all of Class 1A.

Strong storms made their way through Iowa Tuesday, damaging the Lynnville-Sully School. Superintendent Shane Ehresman tells KNIA/KRLS news the storm hit around 1pm and strong winds took off half the roof of the middle school gymnasium where students were eating lunch below.

The Pella Christian girls golf team continued to show improvement as they won a very tightly contested triangular over Pella and Lnnville Sully which separated first from third by five strokes as the Eagles shot a 206 to win, Pella shot a 210 and Lynnville Sully shot a 211.
