Shortly before 10am Wednesday the Pella Police Department received a 911 call reporting that a suicidal male was sitting in his vehicle armed with a rifle on Park Lane in Pella.
Pella Fire Department, Pella Rural Fire Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a grass and brush fire at approximately 1 pm Tuesday.

Two episodes of severe weather hit Marion County Friday evening. High winds and lightning resulted in considerable property damage primarily in Knoxville.
