The Matthew C. Job Pride in Knoxville Award was presented to the organizers of the Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer event at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce membership drive Monday night.

Jim and Angie Uitermarkt, Tyler Pearson, Aaron Fuller, and Barb Bacon were the recipients of the award on behalf of all those who worked towards making the 10th year of the event eclipse the $500,000 mark. Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS News the award embodies what Coaches vs Cancer has become since its inception–something that the whole town can come together on. Uitermarkt also said the award gives him and all the other volunteers who make the event happen a lot of pride, and he is excited to see what will happen in the future. Natalie Job presented the award, which is sponsored by the Job family and Iowa State Savings Bank.
