Pella Regional Health Center has announced that Morgan Adams, RN, BSN, in Obstetrics is the recipient of the quarterly DAISY award. The DAISY program is a national award, given at the local level, to registered nurses who exemplify extraordinary nursing. The focus is on the special touches and human consideration these nurses give to their patients.

Excerpt from Morgan’s nomination by Lacey Poe:

“Morgan made my labor and delivery experience so amazing and delightful. Morgan made my husband and I feel cared for the entire time we were there. She was so kind, generous, and willing to answer any questions we had as we were new parents. Morgan made us feel like she truly cared about our individual care and best interests. We were not a number. She kept telling me how awesome of a job I was doing during the labor process and how proud she was of me. Those words stuck with me. Morgan was so sweet, and you can tell she absolutely loves her job.”

Adams received a certificate that reads: “In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people.” She was also given a sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.
