The New Year’s Resolution 5K Run and Hot Chocolate Walk will be held tomorrow, after being delayed a week because of dangerously cold temperatures.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Knoxville High School commons. Cost for the event is $20 and $15 if participants bring a non-perishable food item. If participants plan to do both the 5K and the Hot Chocolate Walk, the cost is $30, or $25 with a canned food item. The event is open to all ages. Three Knoxville High School Students, Bailey VandeKamp, Joey Kesteloot, and Trevor Poundstone came up with the idea for the run as a way to help fight hunger by filling the food shelves in Marion County.
