The Pella Public Library will begin hosting an exciting and beneficial new program for young readers next week. “Paws to Read” helps kids practice reading to a non-judgmental listener: a dog. Wendy Street, Director of the Pella Public Library tells KNIA/KRLS News that the services of “Stuart” – a trained therapy dog – will be made available to kids at the library twice per month for fifteen-minute shifts for each child. Registrations are required. To sign your child up for a time, contact the Pella Public Library at 628-4268.
