The PCM boys track and field team is one of many teams across the state that is anxiously awaiting the resumption of the season. The Mustangs got three weeks of practices in before schools were shut down, and they did not have a chance to compete at any indoor meets. Head Coach Collin Harrison says that his team does have a few solid returners, but like many other teams at PCM this school year, has an abundance of youth.

“We’ve got a good crew of sprinters, four to six of them probably that’ll have a chance to get to some state events, things like that. So our sprinting events should be pretty good. And then we have Beau Webb, he’s been a staple of our team the last couple years, and he’s a distance guy that can be pretty good. Other than that, we’ve got a lot of younger guys, a lot of inexperience out there.”

Should the season resume on April 13th as currently scheduled, PCM would only have missed four meets. The Mustangs are also looking forward to having a home meet this season, after football field construction displaced the team last season. PCM’s home coed invitational on April 7th has been postponed, while the boys only home meet is scheduled to take place April 30th.
