Following two consecutive district wins that have pushed PCM’s record to an even .500 – as well as giving the Mustangs a nice head start in Class 2A District 6 play – the team is trying to keep the good times rolling with three games remaining on their schedule. Mustangs’ head coach, Greg Bonnett, said that his team needs to stay focused on the task at hand and not get caught up in their record.
“I told them what I always believe is that you can change your mind in a hurry, and you can make a decision to start focusing and that’s all it really takes. That’s what we’re working on more than anything is just keeping your focus; understand your role, understand your job, doing your job as good as you possibly can. Don’t worry about the wins and the losses, just play by play do your job.”
The task at hand will be tough, however, against a 4 – 1 Albia team on the road this Friday night, in a game that will be streamed live on kniakrls.com.
