Despite the conditions, the Pella Christian boys golf team bounced back from a tough first day of the Dutch Masters Invitational to finish in fourth place out of the ten team field.

The Eagles, who were tied for fifth after the first day of the tournament, moved up the leaderboard behind a top-ten finish from Deacon Branderhorst. After shooting an 85 Friday, the sophomore carded a 74 Saturday morning to finish ninth place individually.  Landon Fransman and Cooper Spronk, who both shot an 87 on Friday, each shot the second lowest round for Pella Christian with 79’s respectively. Rounding out the scoring on the final day of the tournament for the Eagles was Eliot Menninga with an 81, Dane Geetings with an 82, and Isaiah Breems with an 83.

Up next for the Pella and Pella Christian boys golf team is the second leg of the Little Hawkeye Conference meet at Bos Landen Golf Club on Tuesday.
