It was a day of state track meet records and thrilling finishes on the Blue Oval for the Class 3A boys’ state meet inside Drake Stadium, and the Little Dutch and Panthers finished one-two in the state to take home some hardware.
Pella and Knoxville have flexed their collective muscles during this 2013 spring season, and their hard work paid off, as a total of 42 events between the two schools were able to move on to compete at Drake Stadium starting this afternoon in Des Moines for the Class 3A state track meet.
With another big number of kids going out for track this year, Pella High head boys’ track coach, Brent Van Hauen has the unenviable task of shuffling kids around so they all get their fair shake over the course of the season.
