PCM to Host Plethora of Gifted Runners

Before the football team steps onto the field for an intense meet-up with the No. 4-ranked team in Class 2A tomorrow, the PCM cross country squads will welcome more than a dozen schools to Monroe for a meet this afternoon. Several Pella Christian runners turned in their best outings of the season on Monday at Lynnville-Sully, and Coach Jocelyn Meinders says she hopes that confidence springboards them into today’s meet, which features the bigger schools they are accustomed to seeing. PCM also looked strong at Lynnville-Sully, and Coach Eric Karr would like to see his runners take advantage of competing on their home course. In addition to the Mustangs and Eagles, Knoxville and Twin Cedars will be in attendance, as well as Ballard, Centerville, Clarke, Colfax-Mingo, Davis County, Montezuma, West Marshall, and others. Pleasantville will not be participating in this meet, as they have Homecoming festivities. Today’s meet will start at 4:00 p.m. at Gateway Golf Course.

PCM, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars and Pella Christian Cross Country teams compete at Lynnville-Sully

The Pella Christian, PCM and Pleasantville and Twin Cedars Cross Country teams will all be competing in the Lynnville-Sully invitational today. All four teams are competing in their second meet of the week save the Sabers of Twin Cedars who last ran last Tuesday at Lake Keomah, the #12 ranked team in class 1A Pleasantville Boys is coming hot off their win in the Pleasantville invitational on Monday that also included PCM, who also had their girls team win their side of that meet. The Eagles of Pella Christian ran last on Tuesday in a meet at Oskaloosa. The 11 team meet will be held at Lynnville-Sully High School, and full results of all Marion County teams can be found on
