The Eagles’ boys are 0 – 3 to begin the year and will be playing their third game in four days this evening against Newton. Coach Gerrit Brouwer said that in their last game on Tuesday against Albia, his team did a better job of closing down passing lanes, and he’s hoping the squad can control the pace of the game. The Lady Eagles allowed several shots on goal in their 3 – 0 loss to Marshalltown Tuesday and tonight will play host to North Polk. The girls play first at 5:30 p.m. and the boys’ game is scheduled to begin on the same field at around 7:20 p.m.
