The Pella Christian tennis and soccer teams are slated to be in action on Monday.

After their original season openers were postponed last Tuesday, the Eagles tennis teams are set to compete for the first time this season in a pair of makeup matches against Grinnell. The Pella Christian boys will play host to the Tigers, who they fell to 8-3 last spring, while the Eagle girls will play at Grinnell, who they beat 6-5 last year.

The Pella Christian soccer teams will look to remain unbeaten in their contests on Monday. After opening their season with a 4-0 win over PCM on Thursday, the Eagle boys will compete on the road at Albia. In the bound era, Pella Christian and the Blue Demons have each won six games, with the Eagles claiming last season’s contest 5-2. The Class 1A #15 Pella Christian girls opened the season with a pair of road wins at Ottumwa and Albia last week, and they begin a three game week Monday with their first home match of the season against Knoxville. Dating back to 2011, the Eagles have won nine of the ten meetings against the Panthers, including last spring’s 5-1 victory.

Pella Christian’s tennis matches against Grinnell Monday are scheduled to begin at 4:15 pm, while the Eagles soccer games against Albia and Knoxville are set to start at 5:30 pm.
